Tatlıcı Köse

Everything began in 1957, on a tiny mobile street tray.
Mehmet Usta would walk from street to street with his tray, selling desserts to the public; winning hearts with the flavors he prepared with his own hands.

Over time, both the taste of his desserts and his name began to be known throughout Adana.
After a while, he started working as an apprentice chef in a baklava salon in the Sümer district. There, he refined his craft and discovered new flavors. He saw every production as a test of mastery.

In 1964, a major turning point took place.
Mehmet Usta took over the salon where he had worked for years and established his own business. He was no longer just making desserts; he was laying the foundation of a legacy.

The local people called him “Köse Dayı.”
Mehmet Usta became memorable not only for his mastery, but also for his sincerity and honesty. That is why he gave his shop his own nickname: KÖSE.
That was the day the foundations of today’s Tatlıcı Köse brand were laid.

As the years passed, the shop grew, and so did the family.
Mehmet Usta brought his children into the business as well. He taught them not only the fine points of the craft, but also the value of hard work and the spirit of flavor.

Today, Tatlıcı Köse continues its journey with the energy and vision of the third generation.
This sweet journey, which began in Adana, now reaches every corner of Türkiye.

Serving with 38 branches, Tatlıcı Köse still offers desserts prepared with the same mastery, care, and love as on the very first day in each of its branches.
And this sweet story continues to keep the past, the effort, and a family tradition alive in every bite.
